This elegant Vintage, Antonius Stradiuarius Cremonenlis Violin is believed to have been made in the early to mid-1900s. The violin looks to have been made by one of the many other companys who employed the use of the AS label. Unfortunately this was done by numerous companies until the year 1957. This particular German Violin does retain its label, which reads: Antonius Stradiuarius Cremonenlis, Faciebat Anno 1716. The piece appears to have been made with pressed wood, meaning that the arch of the top is not carved. Instead, the wood is heated and pressed into shape with a mold. (((The wood is showing some wear and the area where the rest would be needs to be reset.))) The Violin measures approx. 23.5 inches long, in its Origional G&B Improved wooden case it measures approx. 31.25 x 9.5 inches wide.
